METHODIST CHURCH
We want to see God move in the world.
At Southside we believe that giving of ourselves to others and reaching out into our community is really the heart of God. We support, financially and physically, local ministries that are meeting the practical and spiritual needs of the people. With things such as food drives, angel tree, manna bags, HAPI and care for the homebound, we value others within our own community.
Around the world (World Outreach)
We are committed to world missions. Whether it's in the monthly support of missionaries and ministries across the world, or support funding the construction of churches in Cuba and other places our heart is to see the gospel preached everywhere to everyone.
Our Mission Partners
Southside finds its purpose in being an agent of God's mission locally, regionally and around the world.
We hope you see yourself on mission with us this coming year!
If you are not already connected to a mission, pick one today for 2023 and join us!
You have been part of bringing Christ's love to Chisec, Guatemala for the past 11 years in building clinics and class rooms, partnering with Compassion International, distributing water filters and more! Join us this year and experience the life changing gift!
Capernaum gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships, and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp, and other activities.

We have partnered with Cuba since the Florida Covenant in 1997 and our partnership with sister church Santiago de Las Vegas where they continue to pray for us each day! We continue to look for creative ways to send dollars and extend hope to them. Interested in going this year to visit our sister church?

You have partnered with Kairos Prison Ministry both inside jail and outside towards families of incarcerated. Southside has helped with 4 day weekends every spring and fall where we witness the work of the Holy Spirit changing lives and creating Christian community. Would you join the prison ministry team?
You have partnered with UCOM for the last 40 years financially supporting and stocking the sheves of our neighborhood food pantry.
UCOM provides food services, case management for families to help end their cycle of crisis, and a meals- on- wheels program.
Items in most need include: canned vegetables, canned tuna, pasta sauce, pasta, rice, cereal and peanut butter.
You have partnered with the School Partnership Ministry (formerly HAPI) for over 10 years when we were approached by the Duval County Public Schools to develop a faith-based partnership with our neighborhood elementary school. This partnership has grown over the years to include prayer partners for the teachers and staff, providing backpacks and school supplies for families in need, teacher treats, tutoring, and our most recent collection for Angel Tree at Christmas!
You have partnered with Residing Hope for the past 11 years since it opened! Youth have improved the grounds each summer and gifts and support are regularly collected.
You have partnered with Giovas Kids as Southside has donated dozens of bags of food and clothing for children of refugees
Our newest mission partner is pursuing the advancement of the Gospel in hostile areas of the world where Christians are persecuted. Revival is taking place in Asia, North Africa and South America, and Southside has partnered at this critical time to get as many Bibles in to the hands of new believers as we can. Join us!
We partner with Mission 2 Guatemala and our sister church in Santiago de las Vegas, Cuba.
We partner with UCOM Jax, School Partnership Ministry, and Capernaum of Southside Jacksonville
